The Gang unit was formed to deal specifically with the criminal street gangs located within the City limits. This unit focuses attention on any crime committed by a gang member regardless of their age. The aim of the unit is to immediately identify, disrupt and dismantle any semblance of an illegal gang before it is allowed to form into a criminal organization. This unit also conducts training and education for the public concerning at risk children.
