How Do I Obtain a Concealment Permit For a Pistol?

The process for obtaining a concealment permit for the State of Georgia is as follows:

Go to the Probate Court of Fulton County. The closest court office in Sandy Springs is located at the Fulton County North Service Center at 7741 Roswell Road. Bring with you a self-addressed stamped envelope that you will leave with the probate court employee. The application fee is $35. They will give the completed application to the applicant.  Bring the completed application to the Sandy Springs Police Department, permit section, at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 300, Sandy Springs, GA 30350.

Submit the completed application and $50 in cash or check for the background check. The SSPD Permit office will submit the completed application for the background check. The background check results will be forwarded to the Fulton County Probate Court who will notify the applicant as to if or not the permit will be issued.
