SSPD Seeking Identity of Rape Suspect
12-Year Old Sexually Assaulted

Sandy Springs Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred
in the morning hours of Friday, October 21, 2011. According to the 12-year old victim, she was
assaulted in her apartment at 5555 Roswell Road, The Falls at Sandy Springs
Apartments, located just south of I-285, at approximately 7 to 7:15 a.m. after
returning to her apartment from the school-bus stop. According to the victim, the suspect gained
entry into the apartment and was waiting inside. The suspect also spoke with a
foreign accent, possibly Russian or Italian. The victim was treated and later
released from the hospital.
Sandy Springs Police are asking anyone with information pertaining to this assault to contact Sandy
