Training is an intrical part of being a police officer and is a priority with Sandy Springs Police. Officers undergo traiing in all areas of thier role on the street, in investigations, specialized units and administrative affairs. This includes officer-safety training, first-responder training, firearms, scenario-based simulated firearms training, computer managment and many other areas of focused training to give the SSPD officer the tools to enforce the law and effectively respond to the needs of citizens and residents in Sandy Springs.
