Sandy Springs Police Crime Analysis Unit is commanded by Lieutenant David Roskind. Analyst Manager Micah Savage, Analyst Officer Shane Tidwell, and Officer Pat Graham.
The Sandy Springs Police Department Crime Analysis - Intelligence Unit is responsible for identifying crime trends within and outside the City of Sandy Springs, intelligence sharing with local, state, and federal agencies, and managing complex computer systems that provide almost real time situational awareness to our personnel.

Micah Savage is the Crime Analyst Manager for the Crime Analysis – Intelligence Unit. Ms. Savage has worked as a Crime Analyst for the past six years, utilizing data analysis and statistics to identify crime patterns, trends and hot spots as well as providing link analysis and case assistance for investigations. Ms. Savage received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Kennesaw State University in 2005 and Masters in Diplomacy, concentrating in terrorism, from Norwich University in 2010.

Officer Shane Tidwell has been employed in Law Enforcement for 6 years. He is an accounting major but has dedicated himself to public safety. He is self-taught in the area of technology and currently administrates all of the computer systems for the police department. He is currently seeking a Crime Analysis certification through the ALPHA Group. He is dedicated to making the City of Sandy Springs a safer place to live through new and innovative ideas, which includes Crime Analysis.
