Major David Bertrand is the commander for the administrative, support, and logistics division.
Major Bertrand joined the Sandy Springs Police at the department’s inception in 2006 following his retirement from DeKalb County Police where he rose to the rank of lieutenant. Prior to his career with DeKalb County Police, he served in the United States Marines from 1981 to 1985.
Major Bertrand received a BA from National-Louis University in 1993 and an MS from National-Louis University in 1995. He received an MPA in Justice Administration from Columbus state University in 2009. He graduated from the FBI National Academy Class 233, and the Georgia Command College Class 31-B. He is an instructor in several areas including firearms, shotgun, defensive tactics, and health and wellness.

Major Anthony "Bo" Eskew is the operations commander. Major Eskew joined the department in 2006 following his retirement from Marta Police where he held the rank of major. He is instructor-certified in several areas including firearms and tactical training. He has spent the last several years as liaison to the Georgia Special Olympics and Law Enforcement Torch Run.
