Kenneth DeSimone is the Deputy Chief of Police for the Sandy Springs Police Department. He is also the operations commander, which includes uniform patrol, criminal investigations, traffic investigations/enforcement, crime suppression team, K-9, special investigations, and homeland security. Deputy Chief DeSimone has over 20 years of law enforcement experience and was previously with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in Charlotte, NC. His assignments and experience included uniform patrol, investigations, training, waterborne enforcement, street crimes unit, organized crime and intelligence.

Deputy Chief Ken DeSimone is set to end his tour of duty in Afghanistan soon and return to Sandy Springs. No date has yet been given however he is expect to be back in the saddle this fall.
