Administrative and Support Services section of this website. Captain Gina V. Hawkins is over the Administrative and Support Service section which consist of both sworn and civilian personnel. The units are Records, Permits, Property and Evidence, GCIC, Finance, and Departmental Logistics,
The unit also includes SSPD Part Time Officers and Supply/Quartermaster.   Captain Gina V. Hawkins strives to maintain the mission of the police department “To prevent crime and enforce law through problem solving partnerships” within every unit of the Administrative and Support Service section. Every employee assigned within Administrative and Support strives to provide excellent customer service to their external and internal customers, if there is a problem every employee is empowered to assistin solving the problem and serving the city. This website is constantly evolving, so if you would like to provide any feedback for better service, please do not hesitate in this partnership.

Part Time Officers

Sandy Springs Police part-time officers handle the bulk of court duty associated with the many arrests made within the city. These officers are experienced, well-trained officers who provide tremendous support to the SSPD. Duties include transportation to and from the Doraville Jail, who Sandy Springs Police contract with for misdemeanor arrests. They provide transport to and from other correction facilities as well as manage security within the courtroom during court sessions.
